What is a Viewer?

Postby Typhoon Software » Mon Feb 06, 2006 11:50 pm

In AutoRun everything revolves around Viewers. A Viewer is basically a wrapper placed around your files. The Viewer allows you to control most aspects of how your file is opened and displayed. For example the File Viewer allows you to open any type of file (usually used for EXE, PDF, PPS, etc), but with added functionality such as opening the file maximized and using a Failsafe program. The Video Viewer allows you to open a playlist of video files, specify the video size, and decide which controls (play, volume, etc) are displayed.

In the latest version of AutoRun (v4.x.x) the terminology has changed from 'Viewer' to 'Action'.
